I try to only keep words that can be used in a fairly broad context - not, for example, obscure pieces of a Victorian lady's wardrobe. We used to have a pony on the farm and I remember the few times we had to call the farrier to come look at her for something or other. But perhaps they started out as blacksmiths? Or, as I look it up, a mix of blacksmith and horse vet.
